September’s updates are all about making payouts faster, simpler and more flexible for our clients. From local CHF payments and real-time AED payouts to PayID in Australia and simpler JPY requirements, these changes help reduce friction and give clients more ways to reach recipients efficiently.

September’s updates bring faster payout routes, more ways to reach recipients and simpler information requirements.

Send CHF locally across Switzerland and Liechtenstein

Clients can now send CHF payouts locally through the Swiss SIC payment rail, giving eligible payments a faster and more predictable route than SWIFT.

Funds reach beneficiaries on the same day, with no maximum transaction limit, while local routing can help avoid the intermediary deductions that sometimes come with SWIFT payments.

Send AED payouts in real time in the UAE

AED payouts just got faster.

Eligible payments below AED 50,000 can now move through the UAE’s Instant Payment Platform, giving clients access to near real-time payouts, 24/7 — including weekends and public holidays.

The result is a faster option for everyday AED payouts, without adding complexity to the payment flow.

Pay Australian recipients using PayID

Sending money to Australia no longer has to start with a BSB and account number.

Clients can now pay recipients using a PayID linked to their mobile number, email address or Australian Business Number. Payments move over Australia’s New Payments Platform in real time, 24/7.

That means fewer bank details to collect and a more natural way to pay creators, contractors, employees and other recipients who already use PayID.

Less information to collect: use PayID for Australian recipients, with no beneficiary ‘My Number’ required for JPY payouts above JPY 1 million.

Simpler JPY payouts

We’ve made higher-value JPY payouts easier to process by removing some of the information clients previously had to provide.

“My Number” of the beneficiary is now not needed for payments above JPY 1 million, which means less data to collect and fewer validation issues when that information is not available.

There’s nothing clients need to change to benefit from the update, and existing integrations will continue to work as they do today.

What’s next?

September’s releases are another step towards making global payouts easier to send, with faster local routes, more flexible ways to reach recipients and less unnecessary complexity along the way.
