Last month, Nium and the ICC challenged cricket-loving technophiles to test their coding skills in the Nium Coding Challenge. More than 15,000 people stepped up to take the challenge, answering questions on code snippets used in a soon-to-be-released trivia game called, “WhoZat?!”

Today, the ICC in partnership with its Official Fintech Infrastructure Partner, Nium, launched the fun-filled new game “WhoZat?” tests cricket trivia by challenging fans with six guesses to identify the players competing in the Men’s T20 World Cup, using attributes such as age, country, playing positions, etc. The game is another digital fan engagement project designed to enhance the Men’s T20 World Cup experience. The tournament is scheduled to be played in Australia from 16 October to 13 November 2022.

The ICC and Nium are partnering on a vision to unite the global cricket community, nurture tech talent, and bring fans closer to the game. The two are focused on deeper fan engagement, increasing fan involvement off the pitch with cutting-edge innovation and thrilling digital offerings.

Speaking on this launch, Nium Senior Vice President and Head of Global Marketing and Communications, Jeremiah Glodoveza said: “For die-hard fans, cricket is a lifestyle. You want to be part of the game on and off the pitch. We’re excited to be partnering with the ICC on new technologies that make the cricket experience a deeper part of a fan’s lifestyle, and we’re committed to working on new digital strategies that make the fan experience fun.”

The game is now live– test your knowledge with “WhoZat” and become a part of the global community with international players and fans.
