Leadership: The Captain’s Table 2021

Captains of industry, sport and technology gather around the “Captains Table” – an exclusive dinner ahead of the finals of every major ICC event. Executives rub shoulders with players for spirited conversations about the intersections between technology, sport, and the future.

Our last evening featured a conversation with newly-in- ducted Hall of Famer, Shaun Pollock, the legendary South African Captain. Pollock shared his insights on leadership through crisis and earning respect through action.

Technology Engagement: The Nium - ICC Coding Challenge

The “Nium Coding Challenge” is the first of several technology programmes in a digitally-led partnership that will focus on engaging a global, cricket-loving, technology-minded community.

Fans with an interest in programming and coding, can take the Nium Coding Challenge quiz here, answering 10 questions based on the innovative online game, “WhoZat?”

The Nium Coding Challenge will enable technologists to combine their passion for cricket with their love for innovation. For the ICC this program drives deeper fan engagement and is in line with its global growth strategy to bring fans closer to the game.

Corporate Social Responsibility: The Nium - Al Fardan Charity Match

Sport transcends borders, and so does the love of cricket. Nium and Al Fardan Exchange raised AED 100,000 for the charity Dubai Cares through a charity cricket match played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Adding some star power to the match were members of the UAE national cricket team, including Ahmed Raza, Zahoor Khan, and Chirag Suri, who participated along with invited guests and partners.
