At Nium, our purpose is simple yet powerful. We enable real-time commerce – for all.
Our mission is to build the first global infrastructure for real-time payments, and we know that mission can only succeed when our people are connected, empowered, and supported across every office and time zone.
We’re working toward a vision of a world where money moves instantly to everyone, everywhere. To get there, we believe in building a team culture that mirrors the speed, inclusivity, and global reach of our platform.
In this blog, we sit down with five of our incredible Workplace Managers: the people who help bring our values to life, day in and day out.
From India to San Francisco, Singapore to London, and Malta, their stories reflect how Nium’s culture thrives locally, while staying united globally. You’ll hear how we collaborate, celebrate wins, and create meaningful belonging across borders.
🇮🇳 Sneha Malvankar – Global Workspace Lead
What makes you most proud, personally, to be on #TeamNium?
I'm proud to be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and community. Nium's culture empowers us to make a difference and grow together. What resonates with me most is the team's passion, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
How does collaboration within the team contribute to winning together at Nium?
Collaboration is at the heart of how we work at Nium, and two of our global events really brought that to life: The Walkathon and Nium’s Got Talent.
The Walkathon was a global step challenge that encouraged team members across all offices to get moving, stay healthy, and compete for the highest step count. It promoted wellness while also creating a fun sense of cross-office camaraderie.
Nium’s Got Talent was a celebration of creativity, where employees from around the world submitted videos of themselves singing, performing poetry, rapping, or even acting out scenes from The Godfather. A panel of judges selected winners, but the real magic was seeing how boldly our team showed up and supported one another.
These events reminded us that even across borders, we’re united by a shared energy and drive, and we’re excited to keep that momentum going with upcoming events like Nium Talks, Volunteer Day, and Family Day.
🇸🇬 Jessica How – Workspace Lead, Singapore
What’s your fondest Nium memory to date?
One of my fondest memories is the Singapore team’s Lunar New Year celebration - filled with vibrant decorations, traditional lion dances for good luck, delicious food, and everyone coming together in auspicious colored outfits. It really captured the spirit of togetherness and appreciation across cultures.
What are some ways the team in Singapore likes to come together to celebrate wins and support one another?
We love celebrating milestones, big or small - whether it’s a team lunch after a product launch, surprise birthday treats, or even taking part in regional fitness challenges. It’s these everyday gestures of support that make the workplace feel more like a family. We also regularly gather for coffee chats and wellbeing activities, which really help us stay connected and energized.
🇺🇸 Beto Lobos – Workspace Lead, San Francisco
What do you enjoy most about working with the San Francisco team?
I genuinely enjoy my role as a Workspace Manager; it allows me to create structure and efficiency while supporting both individual team members and the broader organization. Every day brings a new challenge, and I find satisfaction in solving problems, improving processes, and fostering a positive, well-organized environment.
What are some ways the team helps each other grow and improve day-to-day?
By keeping operations running smoothly, from managing schedules to organizing recognition activities, I help free up time for the team to focus on their priorities. It’s all about building a reliable, consistent environment where everyone can grow and deliver their best.
🇬🇧 Charlotte King – Workspace Lead, London
How does Nium set team members up for success?
At Nium, we set our people up for success from day one. Our onboarding process ensures team members get the right tools, training, and support to hit the ground running. We set clear expectations and align goals with individual strengths, while also creating a culture of continuous feedback and recognition.
How do team activities in London help build a sense of belonging?
We work hard, but we also know how to have fun. From quiz nights to office potlucks, we love opportunities to connect outside of meetings. These moments of shared joy help build strong relationships that carry over into our work. When people feel connected and included, they’re more collaborative, engaged, and motivated.
🇲🇹 Mariana Pereira – Workspace Lead, Malta
How does the Malta team stay close and collaborate?
We prioritize relationship-building through team lunches, offsite activities, and open communication. The result is a high-performing team that’s deeply connected, with a strong sense of trust and shared goals.
Would you say that Nium prioritizes building an inclusive environment, where everyone feels welcome and heard?
Absolutely. Inclusion is embedded in our culture; from how we make decisions to how we show up for one another. Internal communities like Women @ Nium and Pride @ Nium give our people safe spaces to connect, grow, and be heard. They’re a powerful reminder that we’re stronger when we celebrate and support our differences.

From welcome packs and team lunches to cross-border Townhalls and community events, our Workspace Managers are building the foundations of something bigger than any one office: a culture that connects us all.
Because making money move in real time takes more than tech - it takes a team moving together, globally, to create a better fintech world for everyone.
That’s what makes us #SimplyBetterTogether.
