Nium Welcomes Ramana Satyavarapu as Chief Technology Officer to Power Modern Payments

As Nium continues to scale its platform for global payments and card issuance, we’re pleased to announce that Ramana Satyavarapu has joined the executive leadership team as Chief Technology Officer. Joining our mission of streamlining local and global payments for businesses, Ramana brings deep technical experience in technology strategy, global engineering, and infrastructure to help propel Nium as the trusted leader in the Modern Money Movement.

Ramana’s professional journey with more than 20 years of software engineering expertise working at tech giants–including Microsoft, Google, Uber, Two Sigma, and Finix–makes him a powerhouse to scale our growth in a rapidly evolving payments space. Bringing a broad cross-section of experience, including machine learning and data engineering, his rich technical insights in fintech and product innovation add a unique value for Nium customers.

With a wealth of fintech domain expertise from his prior experiences, Ramana is a proven leader at delivering great products, organizing, and mentoring culturally diverse teams while creating customer delight through technological innovation. In 2020, the algorithmic models developed by his team traded over USD $5B. While at Finix, the ARR and customer base grew by six times, and the technology team tripled in size.
