We are thrilled to introduce the newly redesigned Nium Portal, creating the best experience for payments back-office and developer personnel. We apply the principles of Empowerment, Awareness, Control and Adaptability to meet the specific needs of your business with optimized workflows and data views.

Nium Portal accelerates time-to-market for banks, businesses, and platforms – providing access to state-of-the art money movement tools and private testing sandboxes for rapid development and deployment. With no technical integration required, businesses can instantly connect to Nium’s network of 60+ banking partners and schemes around the world.

Here is how the new Nium Portal enriches your payments management experience:

#1 Nium Chronometer provides precision instrumentation for predictable payments

Nium Chronometer sets Nium apart in the world of cross-border payments. We’ve engineered a proprietary, AI-based algorithm to analyze the disbursement options across our network and instantly determine the ideal payment orchestration route - optimized for speed, market availability, and cost efficiency. Sitting atop the Nium Data Lake – which contains payment reference data, holiday calendars, payout modes, and clearing times across our network – Nium Chronometer surfaces accurate predictions of when the payment will arrive, backed by Service Level agreements (SLAs).

#2 Global wallets at a glance

Take control of global treasury with full transparency to your wallet activities. Your Nium global wallet gives you visibility into wallet details, including currencies and balances, bank details for sending funds, and customer level details.

#3 Self-service management of API keys, webhook configuration and user management

API keys

Developers can now easily get access to API keys and revoke and generate new keys from the portal. We’re continuously investing in automation within our own network and in how our systems talk to customer systems. When it comes to the money movement, transparency and real-time visibility is paramount. Your teams want assurance money was received and instant notification if something goes wrong.

Webhook configuration

To support this visibility without requiring a heavy development effort, we’ve built a way to easily configure webhook events. Within our sandbox environment developers can test the callback URLs directly and customize preferences such as refresh settings – all with just a few clicks in the portal. We will soon offer an out-of-the-box integration with slack or email to deliver instant notifications.  The sandbox lets developers configure more than 50 different event types to push webhook notifications to their internal systems, such as transaction events, card activity events, and compliance events.

User management

Nium is committed to empowering customers with richer self-service capabilities, designed with an administrator’s day to day workflow in mind. Admin users can invite colleagues to register either as an administrator or developer role. Eventually, we will expand on the types of roles and permissions offered, introducing more customization and controls.

#4 Transaction visibility and reporting allows for real-time transparency

The updated interface allows users to view transactions of all types (starting with payouts) across user-defined timeframes, with the ability to create reports and search across all transactions. These transaction details are integrated with the Chronometer to show the status of the transaction.

Additionally, users can integrate the preferred identify management solution with our SSO offering and customize the login experience.

What’s next for the Nium Portal

Later in 2023, we'll introduce batch payouts with FX services in the portal and to seamlessly move money across currencies in a wallet. We will also be enhancing our reports to cover all the different transaction types with flexible customizations. We’re building the industry’s most transparent, reliable B2B infrastructure with the best experience for administrators and developers.

And we’re just getting started.
